Contemporary Contempt
Degenerate art
COLLAGE
These collages are split into four collections: Degenerate Art, Contemporary Contempt, Deep Sick, and An Untitled Series.
Degenerate Art was created from several dozen books over about three months. The project began with The Catcher in the Lie, which was originally created as a poster for Zach Peterson's comedy debate show Arguments and Grievances, and concluded with the triptych Total Fucking Insignificance. The Tarot Restless was being developed alongside this series, and both explore body horror, alienation, and infertility.
Contemporary Contempt and Deep Sick were both created simultaneously. While both explore themes of abuse, betrayal, and revenge, Deep Sick is focused on my own sickness while Contemporary Contempt explores the sickness and treachery of those around me.
Prints are available in the shop.
